Solvents are the main active ingredients of degreasers and have the ability to dissolve fats and dirt. Common solvents include acetone, chlorinated hydrocarbons, alcohols, ketones, etc. Different types of solvents are suitable for different types of dirt and materials.
Surfactants: Surfactants are substances that reduce the surface tension of liquids and facilitate the interaction between degreasing agents and oils. They can disperse fats and mix them with solvents, making them easier to remove.
Alkaline substances: Alkaline substances are commonly used to remove oil and organic acid dirt, and have strong cleaning ability. Alkaline components such as sodium hydroxide and phosphate can neutralize acidic dirt and provide cleaning and emulsification effects.
Inhibitors: In order to prevent damage to materials and surfaces caused by degreasers, some degreasers may also add inhibitors. These inhibitors can reduce corrosion on metal surfaces or their impact on plastic materials.
